Do you use your own employees or a subcontractor?
ASAP Fence has its own experienced staff of installers; we will not subcontract your project to any other companies. This policy ensures that the installation of your fence is controlled and monitored by ASAP Fence.

Do I need a building permit?
A permit is not required in most cases. However fences must still conform to all height and set back requirements.

What types of fences does ASAP Fence install?
We specialize in chain link, modular iron and wood fences in residential and commercial locations.

How long will my fence last?
There are many factors that affect the life of a fence, including climate, soil conditions, and the materials used. You can expect a fence to last a long time if properly installed and maintained.

How can I make the construction of my new fence go smoothly?
To make sure the construction of your new fence progresses smoothly, please be aware of several customer responsibilities:

  1. Property lines need to be identified by the customer or surveyor. ASAP will provide you with wooden stakes to mark the corner and end position of your fence.
  2. Customers should clear property lines or coordinate with our sales representative to have this done before installation.
  3. Customer must notify ASAP Fence in writing of any contract changes.

Does ASAP Fence have any installation recommendations?
ASAP Fence wants your fence installed with minimum inconvenience and problems. We suggest the following:

  • Talk with your neighbours about the fence. Most neighbours will allow you to tie-on to their fence if they know what you are doing. A new fence can create problems with neighbours if they are not aware of what is going on.
  • Proper staking of fence line will allow you to see fence placement and alert you to potential problems like trees, shrubs, etc. that are on the fence line.
  • ASAP Fence will call to Ontario One-Call to have all major underground utilities marked.  The Homeowner is responsible for any underground lines that are not marked. These include sprinkler lines, low voltage lighting, gas grills, lights, pool lines etc.

What are my payment options?
Down payments will be required on most projects and these are determined by your sales representative. We accept personal cheques, business cheques and cash. Full payment will be required upon completion.

What kind of warranty does ASAP offer?
ASAP Fence will correct any workmanship deficiencies with in a two-year period. Manufacturer's warranties may verify depending on the product.

Do I need a survey?
Our estimators will help you determine if you need a survey. We will be happy to assist you with the placement of the wooden stakes based on the survey given to you by your real estate agent, but it is always good idea to confirm their location with your neighbours before the project begins.

Who takes care of the underground utilities?
We will call all of the underground utility companies. This ensures the safety of all of our employees, and prevents any inconvenience to our customers if a utility is on the fence line and is punctured.

They will indicate by stakes, paint and/or drawings where the various cables, gas lines, etc. are located.

Are estimates free of charge?
Yes, we can provide you with a ballpark estimate over the phone and if you feel that the estimate is within your budget, we will gladly provide you with a formal estimate and a site visit.

How long does the fence take to install?
Depending on the type of application, the materials required and the volume of the customers who we already have scheduled, the typical lead time is approximately two - three weeks.

When we decided to have a privacy fence installed we called three contractors. Two gave us a price over the phone (site unseen). Neil Viveiros of ASAP Fence came and took precise measurements, offered advice, and promised to send experienced installers. Of course we chose ASAP Fence to do the work, and we are glad we did. The crew Neil sent were courteous, co-operative, hard working, and it was obvious they took pride in their work.
